Where this earns its keep
Most investigative documents arrive as a wall of text. A skip trace file, a discovery production, a page of search results, a chain of forwarded emails with fifteen people buried in the headers. The information you want is in there, scattered.
Paste the lot and read the extracted list instead. What usually surfaces:
- Email headers. A forwarded chain carries every address it passed through, and people forget that. One paste gives you the whole distribution list.
- Phone numbers you missed. Buried in signatures, letterheads and the body of a report.
- Bare domains. A company name in a signature block is a guess. The domain in the same block is the one you search.
- Dollar figures in order. Skim a financial affidavit by size rather than by paragraph.
The text stays here. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded, stored or logged. You can disconnect from the internet and it still works. That matters, because the documents worth pasting are usually the ones you cannot send to a third party.
Getting more out of it
Paste more than you think you need. The tool does the filtering. Twenty pages takes the same effort as one.
Run it on the PDF, not the summary. Copy the whole document text and paste that. Footers, exhibit stamps and signature blocks are where the useful identifiers hide.
Then take the output somewhere. Emails into a permutation check. Wallets into a blockchain explorer. Names into the contributor search.
